Forward-Collision Avoidance

Collision threats often appear from the front. Forward-collision assist with pedestrian detection monitors the road ahead for hazards. If another vehicle swerves in front of you or slows abruptly in a dangerous way, your car will warn you both visually and audibly. 

If you’re slow to respond, the emergency brakes can apply to avoid or reduce the impact. This system detects pedestrians as well. 

Blind Spot Collision Avoidance 

To the rear and either side, our blind spots might contain other vehicles without the driver’s knowledge. Blind spot collision avoidance keeps you aware of what’s in your blind spots and warns you if you begin to change lanes with an unseen vehicle obstructing the maneuver. If necessary, the front brakes on the left or right will activate to prevent the dangerous lane change. 

Lane Following Assist

It’s dangerous to weave even a little in your lane, which might happen in a fatigued moment. When active, lane-following assist watches the lane markers and keeps you centered by providing occasional gentle adjustments to the steering.

Lane Keeping Assist

The previous feature pairs nicely with lane-keeping assist, which warns you if you drift too near to the neighboring lane; you’ll see and hear an alert. If you don’t immediately take corrective action, your Hyundai will apply steering pressure to get you back into a safely centered position. 

Driver Attention Warning

Nighttime driving, long journeys, and driving when sleep-deprived all increase the risk of a drowsiness or distraction. This clear danger is mitigated with the driver attention warning feature, which detects the patterns of inattentive or drowsy driving and provides a clear alert and on-screen message to encourage you to take a break from driving. 

Forward Attention Warning

This sophisticated feature uses a driver facing camera in the steering wheel to watch the driver’s eyes. By reading changes in your eye positions, it can tell if you’re getting drowsy or distracted and warn you. You thereby have an extra layer of defense against drowsiness, although nothing beats coffee and good rest before driving.
