Then pick your cheese, whether it’s American, cheddar, Swiss, or pepper jack, and add your veggies.

We also recommend adding some of the deluxe options, such as sauteed mushrooms, sauteed red onion, eggs, thick-cut bacon, dill pickles, or jalapenos. You’ll appreciate the affordable prices and friendly service as well. 2. Pappy’s Grill on 79

Another popular choice for a good burger is Pappy’s. All their burgers come with fries, onion rings, salad, or veggies, and you can add an extra patty for $3. We suggest the Pappy’s Smokehouse burger, which comes with barbecue cheddar, bacon, an onion ring, and veggies. Or order the queso burger, which is served on tortillas, and is topped with cheddar, sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole.

They also have hamburgers and cheeseburgers for the little ones. If someone in your party prefers something different, they serve starters, platters, and pizza. Visit them at 1122 Hebron Rd. seven days a week.

3. Shade

The fresh burgers here at Shade include the turkey, the Watty, the Texas, and the Bayou burger. Their veggies are fresh, and the burgers are cooked perfectly. Enjoy one with a side of cheesy fries, sour cream fries, or a side salad. They also offer gluten-free options. Add a cold beer or cocktail with your meal and relax inside the modern dining room or sit outside on the patio when the weather is nice.
