The brand new 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz is an exciting compact pickup that’s fun to drive and unlike anything on the road today. This stylish new addition to the Hyundai lineup features a powerful engine, impressive interior, and sophisticated design.

Exterior

The Santa Cruz design is an innovative fusion of an SUV and pickup truck. This new 4-door compact vehicle is all about style with its unique curved hexagonal grille and halogen headlights. The hood has a muscular design, and at the rear, there are large taillights and a shortened cargo bed.

The Santa Cruz comes with 18-inch alloy wheels as standard equipment, LED lights, and power side mirrors. A rearview monitor is also included with a parking guidance feature.

Performance

Lower to the ground and shorter than its competitors, The Santa Cruz is powerful and easy to maneuver with a refined ride and agile handling. This all-new compact pickup offers two engine choices: the 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque and the turbocharged 2.5-liter four with 281 horses and 311 pound-feet. All-wheel drive is also available with both four cylinders.

The Santa Cruz is great for weekend adventurers or anyone who wants to haul, tow a trailer, or store gear. With the 2.5L turbo engine, you can tow up to 5,000 pounds, and the standard 2.5L engine has a max capacity of 3,500 pounds.

Interior

The well-appointed, upscale cabin has plenty of space for five passengers to spread out, and the seats provide ample leg and headroom even on road trips. A power sunroof is also available on the Limited trim, which allows you to experience the scenery while driving around town or down country roads.

Trim Levels

Four trim levels are available: SE, SEL, SEL Premium, and Limited. The base SE trim comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, front automatic halogen headlights, an 8-inch color touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, steering wheel mounted audio, locking under bed storage, and more.

The SEL trim adds remote start, heated front seats and side mirrors, a proximity key with push-button start/stop, and much more. In addition to the SE and SEL trim features, the Limited adds leather-trimmed upholstery, heated front seats, 20-inch alloy wheels, premium LED running lights, and a power sunroof.

Safety

The base trim level SE includes lane-keep assist, Lane Following Assist, and rear-occupant alert. Driver assistance features available at the SEL trim level and above include blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

All trims come standard with a traction control system with electronic stability control and brake assist. And all also have a system that monitors your tire pressure.

Infotainment

The Santa Cruz features an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system standard for all trim levels. The system features Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and wireless charging. The interface is responsive and easy to use when switching between apps or inputs.

The Santa Cruz also offers an optional 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which provides access to more advanced features such as navigation. Both systems are integrated with the Hyundai Blue Link smartphone app and Amazon Alexa.
